Tell Us Your Good Deed

The good deed that I did that was the most memorable to me was when I volunteered at St. Francis home in Worcester MA. This was part of my 8th grade year at St. Stephens School. During the time I was up there I became very good friends with this old man named Franky. He use to tell me stories of when he was in the war and from his lifetime. He would ask when I was coming back and he would try to call the school. On the last day there. I asked him if he would come to my graduation. The smile on his face said it all. I miss Franky!

Tell Us Your Good Deed

It's so hard to find a purely good deed but here are a couple of non-profit organizations/causes that I have volunteered in: Horizons for Homeless Children, 1 TOUCH self-defense for the blind, Project Homecoming restoration program in New Orleans

Why are you participating?

Because it's a cool idea, it brings out stereotypes that we should be made aware of, and it's fun!

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I am extremely involved with my church and I love to volunteer and help people whenever I can!

Why are you participating?

This project is amazing! It's a creative way to show people the harm labels cause and encourages them to stop judging people. I am so grateful that I get to be a part of it:)

Tell Us Your Good Deed

When I was a kid, under 9 years old, I saved another child from drowning in a pool during a summer program.

Why are you participating?

I find this project interesting in so many ways. One is to see how I might have chosen a different label for someone based on my life experiences and perspective. Another is to see how the label might change my idea of who they are.
