Tell Us Your Good Deed

I help people everyday in my career, I'm a physical therapist. I love the people I work with and go to great lengths to make sure they are as independent as they can realistically be. Secretly I have bought things for my patients that they need and insurance won't pay for...

Why are you participating?

I am participating because I am more than just a lesbian and I struggle everyday when talking about my wife in my career, which is hard not to do when chatting with clients/patients.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I am a very visible person. By size, personality, inclination and training. I've spent my whole life learning how to entertain people; to make them laugh, cry, feel and think. I enjoy moving people, making them pay attention and listen.

Why are you participating?

I am participating because I believe that being visible; seeing, hearing, and speaking out about the evil I see in the world; is the right thing to do. This project and these photos are a literal interpretation of that philosophy.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

i have been self-harm free for 2 months

Why are you participating?

i think everyone shouldn't be judged on their past or what they are or what they haven't done and everyone isn't evil so I think this is a good project to be into or on.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

It's my job to tell people they are loved and forgiven.

Why are you participating?

People are beautifully complicated beyond what a few labels can capture. I choose curiosity over fear when I meet difference.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I have lobbied, and continue to lobby, for Transgender Rights.

Why are you participating?

Because I learned about the damage being unconsciously conditioned by stereotypes does when I moved to Washington, DC from the Connecticut suburbs. And I have a friend who is hurt by the racism still existent in this country. I think this is an amazing project!

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I volunteer to rebuild hurricane and flood victims' homes in New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

Why are you participating?

I swim in privilege, mostly unthinking, like a fish in water. I seek to bear witness, through service, to justice and peace.
