As a teacher of students with disabilities, I make sure that everyday I provide my students with the support, resources, and the care they need in order to ensure their personal growth and academic success. Being part of my students' growth and success is very rewarding and it is one of the reasons why I love my job so much. As a mother, and as a professional Latina woman, I want to be a role model for my sons and students. I want them to know that with motivation, dedication, and effort dreams and goals can be achieved.
I like the No Evil Project concept that promotes the fact that what makes us special and unique are our differences!
Expressing gratitude for all the little things in life.

Each day is a day to keep smiling and help others to smile around you. Keeping children in the classroom confident about themselves and what they can achieve is a true test of patience but I do with joy, and so do my wonderful colleagues. I love my family and my friends, and I believe that everyone deserves at least a little bit of happiness.
I think the idea of this project simply generates an appreciation of how different we all are... and yet how similar we are, too! It's like that saying, if a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it still make a sound?

As a teacher, I got to show my students that "skin color" could be one of so many possibilities and not just the peach pencil.
To show that we are all connected.

I teach students with severe cognitive, communication, and developmental disabilities. I contribute to their educational, functional, and vocational present and future to help them be the best they can be.
I was at the Worcester START on the Street and it looked fun.
