Tell Us Your Good Deed

Along with a crew of dedicated students and friends, I organized an annual 5k race to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, in memory of a special friend and his loving family. We run to prove our strength and health as a community and to offer support for people who are lost in their dark times. The money goes directly to the AFSP for suicide awareness programs in schools. Much love to my fellow organizers, runners, and survivors.

I helped at the local Special Olympics last year in my town in order to help give kids with disabilities the same opportunity to partake in the activities that everyone else enjoys.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I do my best to lead by example on a daily basis and practice patience, compassion and optimism. I have recently accepted a resident assistant position and am excited to motivate underclassmen to be the best students and community members that they possibly can and help them along the way!

Why are you participating?

I think this is a simple way that a large group of people can come together to show that people are not just what you see on the outside. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle so be kind, get to know a stranger and learn what they are really about!
