Tell Us Your Good Deed

I serve on my town’s DEIB Committee and as a Town Meeting member for my precinct, where I help bring equity and inclusion into local decision-making. I’m also part of the Grassroots Central Mass Youth Council, a group of young people committed to justice, equity, and uplifting underrepresented voices. Together, we protest, volunteer in our communities, and push for change that makes our world fairer and more inclusive.

Why are you participating?

Muslims often face harmful stigmas that fuel hate, exclusion, and fear. This division weakens our society and challenges the very idea of unity in the United States. How can we truly be “united” if we allow stereotypes to keep us apart? At the heart of Islam are teachings of peace, a value that people of all backgrounds can relate to. We must look beyond misconceptions and recognize that far more connects us than separates us. Only by focusing on our shared humanity can we move forward together.
