I'm part of the PTO at my daughter's school. I enjoy volunteering there... it gives me the opportunity to meet other parents and to be involved with the school and the community.

Why are you participating?

To show that no one is "perfect". We all come in different shapes, sizes, and colors, that no one looks the same and you should be happy being different. I want my daughter to know that you need to love who you are and be comfortable in your own skin.

I'm always an open ear when someone needs to talk it out. The little things in life can be so big for a person in need.

Why are you participating?

Because no one person can label me only I can label me. I feel more people deserve that perception.

I stop and talk to the homeless of Boston, and give them toiletry bags with some supplies. I listen to there stories and allow them to vent. It makes them feel a bit better.
