The beliefs of my ancestors; to walk with those around us. I've been harassed and abused due to my beliefs and had to hide my true identity. I am two-spirit First Nations' Cree and Métis.
Animals represent people and we must live together. I started smudging with Mommy. Sometimes I feel judged.
I spent my teen years trying to be anything but myself. I could not pray the gay away and I almost was successful in taking my own life too many times. I want others to know it gets better and they are loved.
I believe that labels can help us just as much as they can hurt us. My labels have allowed me to understand myself better and meet supportive like-minded people and communities.
For fun and to be a part of the community.
It's incredibly important to recognize that difference in identity and labels doesn't affect altruism and ability to work communally.
My most essential belief is that humans are all basically humans and deserve to get the chance to be known and loved for who they are.
