Grew up very religious and finding out I'm queer was the first crack in my glass ceiling. It made me and people around me question their biases. Knowing someone queer and close to you and good will hopefully move you to question your biases

I overheard an elderly couple saying they wish that they had a chair or somewhere to sit at the Nighthawk birding excursion. I offered them the chair I had and they took turns resting.

Why are you participating?

With so much polarization and hate in this current political and social moment, I want the world to see the complexities that make us all uniquely human.

I work to provide shelter, housing, advocacy, and support to women and children in need within our community.

Why are you participating?

You never know the battles someone else may be fighting, the scars they may bear or the strength they have had to build due to the labels they carry. I respect the courage, self love and acceptance required for one to claim their identity openly and proudly for all to celebrate.

I've raised money through my drag to raise money for Maui fires adn in Canada. I also volunteer my medical services.

Why are you participating?

The beliefs of my ancestors; to walk with those around us. I've been harassed and abused due to my beliefs and had to hide my true identity. I am two-spirit First Nations' Cree and Métis.

I have volunteered at soup kitchens growing up and I once worked at a homeless shelter. I still try to help people everyday.

Why are you participating?

I spent my teen years trying to be anything but myself. I could not pray the gay away and I almost was successful in taking my own life too many times. I want others to know it gets better and they are loved.
