Because I want people to see the traits that make me. Not the labels other people give me.
Because everyone matters. Being different is a good thing. Being different matters, it's cool and sexy.
The stigma surrounding mental health deters people from reaching out. I want to show people that they can live a happy, successful life beyond their diagnoses- they are not their mental illness!

Because labels are a huge barrier in society these days, especially in a high school setting, so being able to show people that these labels should not be used in a negative way is a great positive way to contribute to society.
