I work with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and make monthly donations to UNICEF (children). I feed the homeless at a community church ever 2nd Saturday of the month.
Labels given to me by others create a sense of "I know you" for them but does not represent who I am or even give a pixel of a full picture of me. Allow me to tell you who I am, what I label myself as and mainly why I'm using the label I chose to use for myself.
I am kind to people, smile to them and they mostly smile back ;)
I am participating because I like my fellow human beings and I think that kindness matters
Every day, people call or come in to the office with a problem they need solved. I put myself in their shoes and help them work towards the solution they want, guiding them through the city's channels and advocating on their behalf. Even if I can't get the outcome they want, I hope I've exceed their expectations of what a City employee will do for the residents of Worcester.

I get overwhelmed by the scale of the world, so I'm studying to be a forester because it will let me do good on a medium scale, one project at a time.
There are plenty of good people in the world, and I hope that we can look past our differences and disagreements so that we can be kind to one another.
I try to smile at everyone, and most times they smile back.
I try to be someone who listens when someone has a problem, no matter how small. I don't always succeed in that, but too many people wait to speak instead of listening.
