Tell Us Your Good Deed

My good deed has to be when I did my Eagle Scout Project my senior year. My project consisted of helping the veterans from the Chelsea Soldiers Home and make them toiletry bags/ collect items such as clothes, movies, towels and socks. I set up boxes in many local churches and banks and received helping hands. My team and I made a store like front for the vets and then went to the Alzheimer's wing and delivered bags personally. It was great to give back!

Why are you participating?

I am participating because my boss told me about this project and I thought it was a great idea. A great way to make people heard. Also I helped organize an no evil event at my college "Nichols College". It was a total success!

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I love people and the diversity of the human race. I love to help and serve others, especially those in need. As a Professor of Biochemistry, I have a unique opportunity to work with students on a daily basis. I teach them about the chemical basis of life. Life is always beautiful!

Why are you participating?

I always marvel at the diversity of life. If we all focus on all the different talents that we have and use them to help each other, the world can be a better place.

Besides volunteering, I love to share my interests with others....It's great to hear what interests others, share in what is fun in other peoples lives...and share what excites you.

Why are you participating?

I am participating because we need to notice others...we are so technology driven, we no longer know about the people around us. Stop, look around at all the beauty and excitment around us !

I like to pass along smiles by taking photographs. I volunteer for the Hanover Theatre, with a professional organization - The BioCommunications Association and as a trustee for a condo association. I pick up trash along the trails when I'm geocaching (CITO - cache in trash out).

Why are you participating?

There is good in everyone, don't stereotype, and smiles multiply... pass one along. Life is good!

I teach native arts with my sisters at many powwows. We are trying to keep the traditional arts alive. I also take photos at the powwows and share them. Teach the children the old ways. Teach the adults the old ways . Keep traditional foods alive. Grow organic garden and share what I have extra with the elders and others so all may eat healthy. The poorest people have the worst health partly because healthy food is not on the dollar menu.

Why are you participating?

My child wanted to, so I did too. That and I really like that monkey pin. :)
