Tell Us Your Good Deed

I don't know if it would be considered a good deed, but because I like knitting so much I've decided to donate any project I make to charity. Hats for the newborn babies in St. Vincent's Hospital. Hats and mittens for school-aged children. Hats for homeless people, especially those at St. John's Parish in Worcester. It is a most satisfying hobby.

Why are you participating?

I think it is a worthwhile endeavor for the Worcester Senior Center. I can hardly wait to see the banners adorning the walls on the second floor.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I open doors for folks, look em into the eyes and sincerely say, have yourself a great rest ot the day.

Why are you participating?

To be a part of a project and a group bigger than just I.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I chair the Sterling Cultural Council, which disperses funding from the state (MCC). The project we fund make programs of all kinds happen, from summer concerts to school kids seeing live theater, to music and events for seniors. They all smile when they attend the events! I have also volunteered to present art workshops for kids and seniors.

Why are you participating?

I love being part of projects that help people understand the world and themselves.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I saved a five year old boy who was about to drown in a branch of the sea. I saved him with mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration.

Why are you participating?

I want to have a relationship with other people of a different country than mine.
