I have distributed 30 copies of John Lewis' book, "Across That Bridge" and have 25 more on order. His thoughts on how to work toward "The Beloved Community" have inspired me to be more patient and loving with others with whom I might have significant differences. I also serve on the Board of WAMS (Worcester Area Mission Society), a non-profit organization committed to working with others to help bring about economic and social equity to our society.

In my lifetime I have experienced many turbulent times--none quite the same as this but knowing there is always calm after a storm helps me stay centered.

My 14yo son and I left rolls of toilet paper on our neighbors’ front steps. When I do have to go out, I thank everyone I see working for their service to our community. I’m donating the money that I’m saving on gas (since I am not driving to the office) to people who are out of work due to the pandemic. Every little bit adds up.

A lot of people find labels restricting. I can understand that, however, I have found a great deal of comfort in them. Especially since the world tells me that so many of the things I am cannot coexist: Christian. Bisexual. Intelligent. ADHD. There is a chance that I am also autistic. Knowing...more...

I volunteer in a group for special needs teenagers, I love helping them and being a friend to them all! Together we do art and crafts. I hope once I graduate college I can pursue a job in education for students with severe intellectual disabilities.
