Tell Us Your Good Deed

I try to set a good example for my kids. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. It is important for people to try to do their best, be acknowledged for giving it their best effort, and not be criticized if the end result isn't perfect. Everyone has different talents and interests. Right now I am not working as a software engineer, so I volunteer at my kids' schools. I love nature and art and participate in the schools' Art Literacy Projects. I also help struggling students with math. I am almost obsessive at recycling.

Why are you participating?

I was visiting Worcester Art Museum and the photographer asked if I'd participate, so I said "yes." I think this is a fun and interesting way to make people aware of things they can do to make the world a better place.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

My husband and I fill our home with an overwhelming amount of love and humor. I think that raising children with these two attributes (a sense of humor, and compassion for others) is a pretty decent contribution to the world.

I walked 25 miles on the overnight leg at "The Relay for Life", and helped our team raise lots of money for the cause. I try to be kind to people every day, remind myself to not judge, and to be grateful for all that is good in life.

Why are you participating?

Promoting goodness is reason enough to be a part of this.

I work hard to offer praise whenever possible to people I know and to total strangers. Further, I teach my students that all people need praise, and I encourage my students to share praise often.

Why are you participating?

Just thinks it's a wicked cool idea, and it was something I could share with my daughter.
