Tell Us Your Good Deed

I've been a Girl Scout leader for over 30 years. Started with my daughter, and now my granddaughters. Helping girls in our community learn to be leaders of the future. We strive to open the minds of all girls to their possibilities and help them see who they can become. We have fun helping each other.

Why are you participating?

I love that this opportunity to participate was so close to home. Everyone needs to see "the person" not their label.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

Recently, I walked out of my office building for my lunch break on a gorgeous day smiling brightly. An elderly gentleman passed by me and asked me why I was so happy. I told him I was just happy for no reason and again he asked me why. I thought about it deeply because he seemed like he genuinely wanted to know; and responded "I am just happy because I am here. We can't spend our lives waiting for the big moments to be happy otherwise we would waste most of our lives waiting for happiness". He blinked at me for a moment, gave me a huge grin and hugged me.

Why are you participating?

The world needs more happiness, love and acceptance. People judge us by our looks and don't get to know us. We are much more than labels, but we are not always our covers. I hope to change someone's perspective.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I help family, friends and strangers in any way I can, even if it's just advice.

Why are you participating?

I love what this project stands for. Simply don't judge.
