Taken care of an elderly person that no one else had the time to do. I used to go over her apartment and sit and talk to her, give her medications and try to help out in any way I could. She had dementia and it got to be overwhelming for me so she now resides in a nursing home.

Why are you participating?

Being a grandmother is the most rewarding experience other than being a parent.

Volunteered as a story collector for Veterans History Project, interviewing, filming and preserving stories from veterans for the Library of Congress.

Why are you participating?

While I think it's important to express our individuality, "labels" can be so restrictive and cause us to miss wonderful connections and experiences with other humans. Within all of us lies a spark, a spirit and a connectivity.
