I am the volunteer leader of an organization that educates about LGBTQ+ concerns, creates community, researches LGBTQ+ concerns, and advocates for LGBTQ+ positive policies.
Because our labels while define us also limit us. Labels are social constructs and are not really real.
I use my passions to inspire, empower, and teach children in Special Education & Early Childhood Education.

I picked toys from my birthday party to give to a preschool for medically complex kids like me because they needed things to play with. When I took them to the kids I gave hugs to them because I didn’t want them to be sad.
I hope that people look beyond my disabilities and see that I am a happy girl who loves animals and my family and my friends. I hope that people can learn to be nicer to people who are different

I donate books to the hospital floors that my daughter has been on for other families to have to fill the many hours they spend with their sick children, and for older kids who are hospitalized.
My child has been the victim of bullying because of the disabilities that she has. As a former teacher and a mother, I want her to live in a world that is more tolerant and less judge-mental.
I smile at others, I don't take myself too seriously and never make anyone feel invisible.
I have donated money to an animal shelter.

Whenever I have left overs at a restaurant I ask for a take away bag and give away the food to the first homeless person I see.
Because I think we need to judge less and empathize more.

On vacation while shopping, I comforted a stranger/ a young lady who had just heard of her friend's passing. She was about to wipe her tears with a leaf when I handed her a pack of tissues and hugged her.
Because I think it is a fun idea and maybe with my story I can inspire someone.
