Tell Us Your Good Deed

I've always treated people with the same respect I'd like in return. You never know who someone is and why they're in the predicament they're in. So maybe the guy on the street is homeless but he may have had everything taken from him. Therefore I always try to give when I can. I've volunteered for soup kitchens, gave money and food to homeless, and most of all tried to spread love as much as I can.

Why are you participating?

As a man born and raised on the south side of Chicago, I know many people that aren't the book people see from the cover. I strongly believe you should look at content of character rather than stereotypes.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

It is my personal mission to make people feel like they're enough. I try to be the person anyone can go to if they need to talk or need to be told they're good enough. My good deed is making people feel worthy of life.

Why are you participating?

I want to make a difference.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

When i was in school my mom would make me lunch every day for school. I hated carrying lunch to school i wanted to be like the cool kids who would buy luch at school. One day i met this boy who was a street kid and i just wanted to take him home and make him my little brother, i was too young to undersand that i couldnt. I wish i could have done more for him. I started carrying my lunch to school and i would see him every morning and give him my lunch box and collect it everyday after school. I did that for five years in high school.

Why are you participating?

I wish we didnt have labels but at the same time labels are what defines us. I have been called many things because of my sexuality. People expect gay people to 'come out', i dont see why we have to come out while straight people can just date. Why are we nay different?

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I have multiple good deeds that I perform daily. One of them is always being generous to my friends and giving freely to them and I think that's a good deed because being able to give and feel good about it is something very, very hard to do and so when someone is able to do it, it's highly appreciated. Another one is always sticking to myself, not letting anyone else's idea of how I should be make me who I am and I think that's a good deed because it's important to not be negatively influenced.

Why are you participating?

I am participating because it's a way to share my labels with others and what I want them to know about me in just a matter of three labels. Also, it's important for people to label themselves with things that they feel good about or that they feel confident enough to share.
