Tell Us Your Good Deed

In high school I worked with the Special Olympics to help teach tennis to Special Olympians. As I taught them valuable tennis skills, I also tried to just bring laughter and joy to their day by hanging out with them like I do with my friends, and in return they brought me more joy than I probably did them. It is not hard to bring happiness to people...sometimes just a simple smile in passing can change a persons day.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I am dedicated to helping college students accomplish their dreams and I present an LGBTQ training for Career Service professionals locally and nationally to help counselors provide career specific advice to the LGBTQ population.

Why are you participating?

Because this is an incredible project that focuses on the positives in everyone and helps to extinguish stereotypes.

Tell Us Your Good Deed

I make it a point to perform a random act of kindness every day- something as simple as letting someone through in traffic, or something as complex as performing CPR on someone and saving their life in a grocery store parking lot (yes, it happened). I believe that one of the most important things in life is contributing something positive to the lives of others.

I am starting a business that does social media consulting for do-gooders: like nonprofits, yoga studios, meditation centers, alternative medicine clinics and life coaches. After working in direct service at non profits for a few years, I am excited to help organizations that are doing great work optimize social media to get the recognition and support they deserve.
